Finally time for the holidays! This year, OVE'17 embarked on a trip together to Desaru, Malaysia for a 2D1N trip from the 6th to 7th December 2016! It was indeed a fun-filled trip and we got to form much stronger bonds with our fellow OVE family members. We cannot be more than grateful to our Proggies who worked so hard to make this such a memorable and enjoyable trip for all of us!
As soon as we reached Desaru, we had a fruit fest prepared for us. From guava to jackfruit to papaya, we thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of fresh fruits offered! After eating to our hearts' content, we were ready to start embarking on our journey for the day!
During the trip, many of us got the rare opportunity to try new things and to step out of our comfort zone. One of the most memorable experience we had was the paintball game. Most of us have not tried playing paintball before and the majority of us were really afraid as we have heard rumours about the intense pain one would suffer from getting hit by a paintball. However, we managed to enjoy the game thoroughly as the satisfaction of being able to hit our opponents and capture the flag for our team is indescribable. Through this activity, we learned the importance of teamwork and we managed to strategize and communicate with one another to achieve our goals.
Another memorable experience we had was the high rope challenge. Although it was daunting for some to complete this challenge, almost everyone managed to complete the challenging course with the support of the other team members. It was encouraging to watch how others refuse to give up and continue to persevere even though they were experiencing difficulties on the course.
Not to forget, the most exhilarating experience we had - the gokart experience! It was simply exciting to drive as if we were in Grand Theft Auto!
Before we parted goodbye with Desaru, of course we could not miss a fun time at the beach! B.E.A.C.H. Best Escape Anyone Could Have! Simple pleasures as such are especially precious and memorable!
It was a really memorable and fun 2D1N our OVE family had! Hope that we will continue to share more beautiful memories together!
