NTU Welfare Service Club – Overseas Volunteering Expedition (WSC OVE) recently had the opportunity to spend a meaningful day volunteering with children, creating a space filled with learning, laughter, and connection. Through simple activities and shared moments, the session became more than just a planned programme—it was a chance for us to engage with the children in a sincere and memorable way.

Throughout the day, we guided the children through a series of hands-on activities that sparked both curiosity and creativity. From interactive crafts to fun experiments, it was

heartwarming to see their excitement as they explored, asked questions, and proudly showed off what they had made. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and every small smile and reaction reminded us of the joy that can come from simply learning and playing together.

Beyond the activities themselves, what made the experience especially meaningful was the bond formed between our volunteers and the children. Whether it was helping them with a task, cheering them on, or just sitting beside them and talking, these little moments of companionship made the day feel warm and genuine. It was a reminder that volunteering is not only about giving our time, but also about being present and building connections with those around us.

As OVE, we are grateful for opportunities like this that allow us to serve the community while growing together as a club. Days like these leave a lasting impact on both the children and ourselves, and we hope to continue creating more meaningful experiences through service, compassion, and shared joy.
