On 6th April 2019, OVE’19 had our 3rd session after a long break! This time we went to Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) for our Metta Home outdoor session.
We first met our friendly and enthusiastic service users and mingled around with them before making our way to the Flower Dome. While we were inside, everyone was amazed by the beautiful flowers and trees that were displayed. Our service users had smiles all over their faces as they explored and learnt about the plants and trees that they had not seen before.
Everyone was so eager to take pictures as we progress along the journey! Some of the service users even asked our members to take photos of them as it was such a memorable day for them.

Next, before making our way to the Cloud Forest, we took a break and had snacks! Everyone enjoyed the bread and drink provided and chatted after. We all had a good break and couldn’t wait to proceed on to the next part of the journey!

At the Cloud Forest, there was a huge waterfall, and everyone was mesmerized by the size of it! Despite the huge crowd, we managed to take the lift to the highest floor and get a bird’s eye view of the Cloud Forest. Our service users were very brave as we walked along the waterfall.
“The outing to Gardens by the Bay was truly memorable and enjoyable as we explored the cloud forest and flower done with service users from Metta Home. Seeing the the smiles on the service users faces makes my day. Even though it was only a short duration spent together, i believe that our time was well spent!” - Grace
