OVE'16 embarked on our 14-day expedition to Prey Veng, Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 16th July 2016 - 29th July 2016. Working with Operation hope Foundation (OHF), a local Non-Profit Organization, the team aimed to improve lives of the villagers and beneficiaries through construction of houses, education and cultural exchange. 

 

Furthermore, to enhance sustainability of our project, the OVE'16 team conceptualizing a self-initiated project of building and establishing 2 aquaponics systems to tackle the issue of erratic weather conditions leading to the inability of growing crops.

 

The expedition truly widened our horizons as the team slowed down our hectic city-dwellers pace of life, truly experienced the beauty of taking life one step at a time and immersed ourselves in the joys of volunteering.
