The team of OVE’15 had the opportunity to reach out to  Bulun Village, a small Tibetan community situated in Shangri-La, Lijiang, Yunnan, China. Working together with Global Voluntary Camps, a local non-profit voluntary organization, OVE’15 embarked on a 15-day expedition from 18th July 2015 to 1st August 2015.

The program for the expedition focused on sharing the importance of environmental care and hygiene with the locals young and old, but also included supplementary lessons in Mandarin, personal growth, science, geography and arts and crafts, construction of two waste pits, and cultural exchange through a home stay, cultural sharing night and cultural exchange night.
