On the 5th of December, OVE’16 went on a trip to Kukup, Johor, Malaysia, for a 2D1N-team bonding trip filled with fun, sun and loads of laughter. Kukup is a small fishing village, famous for its architecture where buildings were built on top of mangrove plantation. The team had a short walk around the vicinity and saw many creatures such as mudskipper, hermit crab and crane in the mangrove plantation just below the building. After a sumptuous lunch the team visit the floating fish farm known as “kelong” where local villagers rear their fishes on structure built to float on the sea. Local fisherman introduces us the various species of fishes that are rear at his Kelong. The team ended the day with famous Chinese lantern, where locals write their wishes on the lantern before setting it off into the sky.
On the second day, 6th of December, the team set off for team bonding activity, paintball. Unfortunately, the overcast weather had to put a stop to paintball. However, we did not let the mood falter as we headed to City Square Mall to celebrate birthday of 4 of our members who are having their birthday in December.
In all, it was a wonderful trip to bring the team closer than ever. With the newly strengthened friendship, we are looking forward to future events and activities as a team.
