Overseas Volunteering Expedition (OVE), a Special Project under WSC, aims to provide individuals with the passion for volunteering a platform to benefit less-privileged communities beyond geographical boundaries. Striving to achieve sustainability through projects that would benefit communities in the long run, OVE hopes to promote the spirit of volunteerism by embarking on an overseas volunteering expedition that provides students with new insights and experiences.
Beyond our main expedition, OVE strives to promote volunteerism in the Singapore context. Hence, the team also collaborates with local VWOs through sessions and events to do our part in serving the local community.
Furthermore, OVE aims to nurture future leaders through establishing a close-knitted group of like-minded individuals with the common goal of helping those in need and encourage students to volunteer both locally and internationally. To date, OVE has extended its outreach to several countries such as Cambodia, China, Laos, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
OVE Team consists of 5 groups which helps to support the team's operation, whether is LCIP, overseas expedition project or bonding within the team. These groups are: Secretary, Finance, Bizmag, Programmes and Publicity.
